Today marks Gillian Anderson's 42nd birthday. And if that's what 42 looks like, then maybe there really is hope.

She is the woman who brought us Dana Scully, and since then has continued to show the same ability on both film and stage that first drew us all in. This past year she's worked on some great projects, and the coming year looks to be an even fuller one.

So here's to an amazing career so far, and even more to come. And who knows, maybe this year will bring one more film, too.  A certain third movie that many of you would like to see, perhaps? After all, 42 is the answer to the universe...

I guess we'll find out. But until then, Happy Birthday, Gillian.

Okay, so it's not X-Files 3 (yet), but Gillian Anderson's website has confirmed that she has signed onto the interesting new BBC project, The Crimson Petal and The White. The miniseries is a  four-part Victorian period drama set in London in the 1870's.

As some of you may know, the project is an adaptation of Michel Faber’s novel by the same name. Gillian along with Richard E. Grant will be starring in what has been described as "a raunchy TV drama." So if that's got your interest peaked, check out the details in this article by the Liverpool Echo.

The Cigarette-Smoking Man may be dead, but William B. Davis was alive and well at the London Film & Comic Con. He even had time to sign some autographs and give an interview. If you take a look at it, he had quite a few interesting things to say.

Does anyone else think he looks odd without a cigarette in hand?  Decide for yourself in the six minute video here.
