Spoilers emerge from The Province news article

Source: The Province

Chris Carter let a little spoiler slip while doing an interview with The Province out in Vancouver.  Here's the tidbit:

Carter says Duchovny and Anderson's first day on set together was a scene in the FBI office. "It's funny, I think the first thing they did together on the TV series 16 years ago was in Mulder's office in the FBI -- that's a coincidence actually."

Empire Magazine Reveals Scully's Work Location

Source: Empire Magazine

Empire Magazine's June 2008 issue has a spoiler or two included.  You can read the entire article by clicking the read more link below.  Here's a snippet:

If the next location we're escorted to is any indication, 'creepy' is an understatement. It's an ancient-looking building in downtown Vancouver which was a mental hospital before it was abandoned 15 years ago, and boasts a ghost lodging on the third floor. Fortunately, tonight's action is being shot only one level up, where the corridors have been dressed with crucifixes, stained-glass windows and statues of weeping saints. This, in the film, will be Our Lady Of Sorrows Hospital, the Catholic infirmary where Dana Scully works as a doctor.

During a scene she's shooting, which involves Scully, a bed-ridden boy and a vulture-like priest, Gillian Anderson wanders over to explain how it feels to play the flame-haired icon again. "It was odd at first, as I'd consciously chosen a lot of parts that were different from Scully. Now, coming back to her, sometimes my brain fights that and I have to struggle to do things I'd programmed myself not to do. But it's great working with David again. We put on our costumes again for the firt time, looked at each other and went, 'Oh! It's Mulder and Scully!' And we love chatting nonsense together. Last night there was a conversation between David and Chris and I about the degree to which you get bloated after you eat sushi..."

X-Files Movie Plot Revealed: Novel

Source: Staffars.se

News from the SFX message boards! The back cover blurb for the novelization of the film has been revealed!  You can look through the previews here, and as you can tell there are a lot more X-Files related materials to come out. You can read it below here...

THE X-FILES 2008 MOVIE NOVELIZATION MMPB
by Max Allan Collins

Mulder and Scully are back in the thrilling novelization of the summer 2008 blockbuster movie based on the classic X-Files TV show! When a group of women are abducted in the wintry hills of rural Virginia, the only clues to their disappearance are the grotesque human remains that begin to turn up in snow banks along the highway. With officials desperate for any lead, a disgraced priest’s questionable “visions” send local police on a wild goose chase and straight to a bizarre secret medical experiment that may or may not be connected to the women’s disappearance. It’s a case right out of The X-Files. But the FBI closed down its investigations into the paranormal years ago. And the best team for the job is ex-agents Fox Mulder and Dr. Dana Scully, who have no desire to revisit their dark past. Still, the truth of these horrific crimes is out there somewhere...and it will take Mulder and Scully to find it!

Real Or Not Real?

XFN is definitely saying this is real and true and we're standing behind that.  JoBlo.com claims that FOX asked them to remove the article;  XFN cannot confirm or deny this.  However XFN has researched this blurb and we feel safe enough to tell you that this is indeed real.

A Tour of Mulder's House

Source: Shock Till You Drop

Shock Till You Drop's Ryan Rotten toured the set of XF2 during filming, and today his report has finally been published. Of particular interest may be his detailed description of Mulder's house, as excerpted here:

A tour of Mulder's house gives us everything and nothing. Spotnitz guides me up the porch and through the front door into a warm, earth tone-driven living room. Issues of Scientific American are neatly scattered about. Framed black and white photographs are hung on the wall. Mulder's digs are nice...and a step up from the apartment we're accustomed to seeing him in. The cleanliness is befitting of a woman, however.

"You'll notice the brown railing,"Spotnitz points out. "There was one just like that in his apartment." The reference is a bit over my head but those fans with the photographic memories will be pleased to hear there is plenty of continuity they'll appreciate. Take the gold fish for instance. "The tank is bigger than the one in the show." Well, sure, it only seems right they get a big pad if Mulder is moving up. Oh, and look at that, there's the scuba diver at the bottom of the tank.

"Mulder's been living here since 2002," Spotnitz adds. "Come on in here..."

I follow, awash with nostalgia the minute I enter the next room: The office. A clutter of piled-up newspapers, clippings and monstrous sketches. Removed is that aforementioned tidiness. I actually miss it. But here...here is where the eye candy comes into play. Gaze closer at one of the headlines screaming from a nearby paper and you'll find FBI ARRESTS MODERN DAY FRANKENSTEIN DOCTOR. The ceiling above has been skewered by pencils which hang like stalactites. Sunflower seeds peek out from under the mess on Mulder's desk where a photo of his sister rests.

Then there's the poster.

You know the one. Series staple. Black and white, sorta fuzzy image of a UFO with big bold white letters proclaiming I WANT TO BELIEVE. Yeah,
that one. Rippling with wear, but present nonetheless. Still signifying all that is "Mulder" and hung with care as a teen would hang a rock idol by his bed. "I'm not sure if it's one of the L.A. or Vancouver posters, it is an original though," Spotnitz notes.

You can read the article in its entirety here. There is also an interview with David Duchovny, in which Duchovny talks about potential DVD extras ("...I think there's a lot of extra gore. We're not just shooting a PG-13 version."), and there is an interview with Gillian Anderson as well.

 Call Sheet from Kiss Scene

XFN's source has sent us the call sheet, which includes the kiss scene denied by David Duchovny.  XFN concludes, this scene is indeed true based on the call sheet and the source's confirmation that the kiss scene was indeed shot on this day of filming.

Scene #154 is the only exterior scene with dialogue  and its obviously towards the end of the movie since its such a high scene number.

We've already posted the information from this sheet and we've decided to post the sheet itself.  Please click the read more link to see the picture.

 Call Sheet Day/Night Information
XFN has looked over the call sheet recieved, and after further inspection we have to retract what we originally thought overall about the Dark Horizons script; however, there is enough information in regards to scene #49 that XFN believes there may be some half-truths to it.

Here is the call sheet day/night information:

Scene #19 - D3 Pages: 1/8
Scene #20 - D3 Pages: 1/8
Scene #154 - D8 Pages: 1 3/8
Scene #23pt - D3 Pages: none
Scene #22pt - D3 Pages: 1/8
Scene #23pt - D4 Pages: 3/8
Scene #48pt - N4 Pages: 2 3/8

As it shows, the Dark Horizons sheet is completely off the mark if you take the D/N information into consideration.  XFN, however, is still inclined to believe there is some truth to this sheet, since there is a similiar storyline going on.  These are the facts above, but you may of course consider the Dark Horizons sheet as you wish.
