Get your passports out, and start counting your Venezuelan 12.5 cent pieces, Philes... because the WWFBD World Wide Tour began this week!

In the wake of the over 45,000 XFN World Wide Fan Project views, ‘The Skype Files’ asked themselves, what could the Fandom do for a cause? After the book signing in Los Angeles last month, their answer came in the form of a fuzzy friend.

‘Skype-Files’ Executive Producer Moxed adds that, "We felt like this was a way to give back to those who had given us so much inspiration for 16 years.  If we can raise money to get ourselves to promotional events or to a movie premiere, we certainly can take the same dedication and initiative and do something even more substantial. We are here, wanting to believe we can and will make a difference."

The WWFBD Worldwide Tour will kick off this week in St Louis, Missouri, USA and will spend the next 8 months traveling through over 30 cities being represented by 12 countries.

Each tour city will have a Frankenbear Host in charge of his care and travel. Local fans will help make up the ‘Host Family’ and these Philes will be responsible for taking video and/or photos of their Frankenbear adventures to send back to XFN. At the end of Frankenbear’s stay in a tour city, the Host will write a letter to send for the next tour city’s ‘Host Family.’ Frankenbear will be packed up along with a few local souvenirs and sent along on his journey.

Even though ‘Host Families’ will be responsible for moving Frankenbear from tour stop to tour stop, we know that no one gets there alone and that sometimes, it takes a great deal of effort and a great number of people to step in and ignite a movement.

We are not asking for a cure for any disease or for fans to come together to save the world, what we are asking is for each and every one of you to make a dent, to affect a person who can then affect another person and to join in on something special. To that end, we are asking Philes around the world to donate to this cause. Each donating Phile will have their name and a message entered into the WWFBD World Wide Tour scrapbook which will be delivered, along with Frankenbear, to Frank Spotnitz by XFN and the IBG Team.  100% of the proceeds will go to Frank Spotnitz' chosen charity, Santa Monica-UCLA-Medical Center: Rape Treatment Center.

To make it easy, XFN dusted off a few calculators and tied up their math geek. Science tells us the earth is roughly 25,000 miles in circumference and so we are asking Philes to donate to Frankenbear miles. That’s right, Sky Miles beware. 10 cents USD per Frankenbear mile can raise $2,500 for charity. Donate in $5’s, $10’s, $20’s, $100’s...we are non discriminate, just donate.

Frankenbear will end the last leg of his Worldwide Tour in early November, just in time for a very early or very late birthday present to Mr. Frank Spotnitz.
